What I found out today. o28

My formula for living is quite simple: I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can. And yes, believe in miracles, and wait for love letters, job offers, ideas, projects, sunsets, smiles, hugs, millions of good thoughts, warm bubbles, tea, drawings, fabulous gallery openings, amazing people, butterflies in my stomack, candy and cookies, long soulful chats, holding hands, getting warm, good films and brilliant music, long walks........................ all those things I try to catch in between.

"Al l what we are is result of what we have thought ", Buddha. I love this quote. It really summarises everything I am trying to think of lately. Nevermind the people. Nevermind the circumstances. You are in your own world and that's the only thing that should be important. To be inlined with what you wish for... This morning is already fun - beautiful rain reminding me both of Denmark (cycling in the rain, etc) and Lituhuania. All you can do is ignore it and create your own sunshine. Like Tom Waits sand, "you got to lie to me baby"... Uh-huh. I also overheard (well, I am sorry, it's hard not to when its like right there...!!!) my colleague using expression something like 'banana shaped' missunderstanding. I am telling you, I have so much to learn in this office! ;] Another thought that came to me today very randomly: YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR ITSELF....

There are sad things in life. Nevermind the almighty self-help and positive thinking. There are sad stories. Sad life-stories. There are bittersweet experiences that make you who you are in the end, that form you and make you hard candy (to re-phrase Madonna). And to be honest, this time talking of this brings Andy Warhol to my mind and therefore the quotes will be coming from him: They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning. Isn't life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?

- There are really cool words you can over hear in the office! For example: multiple lizards, molding mold (in the context of how does the mold mold?!) - Discovered yet another great quote: Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it's unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. If you assume that there's no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, there are opportunities to change things, there's a chance you may contribute to making a better world. The choice is yours. Noam Chomsky - There are sooooo many cool things going on around Amsterdam and that area.... movies in Leiden, flamenco in Den Haag, punk bars in Schiedam... drinks in Rotterdam.. jazzy back to Den Haag.. only need time and energy! - The monster under my bed burps.
